Welcome to Hostel Wunderbar

Our newly built Backpacker Hostel Wunderbar is located in Puerto Lindo on the Caribbean coast of Panama, an hour and a half by bus from Colon. We have two stone buildings and a big orginal kuna style house (the 'Congresso') which is built without any modern materials on a 1200m² area next to the Rio Pino and only 300 metres from the sea.
In addition to the accommodation we also offer a lot of activities for our Backpackers like pool, tabletennis or darts. The area and the twelve islands in front of Puerto Lindo offers a lot of possibilities which can be explored by indian cajucos(canoes), bicycles or on horseback. With a great variety of birdlife, reefs and mangrove channels, this region will enthral you.
A real extraordinary excursion is the sailing trip with our yacht ‘Seeadler’. We cruise to the Kuna Yala territory of the San Blas Islands - one of the last unknown and unspoilt paradises of this world. It consists of hundreds of small tropical islands which are only inhabited by the Kuna people, the local indigenous group. Its crystal clear waters; its untouched beaches; and its spectacular underwater life of the surrounding reefs, are not to be missed. After relaxing on this picturesque archipelago we continue towards the Colombian coast and Cartagena, a beautiful historic town with an old fortress and a vibrating life in the old part of town. We even can take 2 motorbikes on the vojage.
