Question: Is it possible to cook in the hostel?
Answer: Yes, there is a kitchen with a stove and a fridge you can use.

Question: Is there a beach nearby?
Answer: Yes, there are plenty of possibilities. For example you can get one of the local water taxis to bring you to Isla Grande or one of the other islands from right in front of Puerto Lindo.

Question: Is there a phone or internet available in the hostel?
Answer: Yes, we have both, but the internet is a bit slow – fine for your emails, but it isn’t broadband.

Question: Is there a possibility to do some shopping in Puerto Lindo?
Answer: Very basic. There are a few shops in Puerto Lindo which sell basic food. However, vegetables are a rarity in Puerto Lindo. Buy them from the Rey's Supermarket in Sabinitas, while waiting for the connecting bus, or from one of the three supermarkets in Portobelo which is easily visited by bus.

Question: Where is the nearest bus stop?
Answer: Buses in Panama work as stage carriages. i.e they stop at any point on the road where somebody wishes to board or alight the bus. The bus from Sabinitas to Isla Grande / Costa Arriba drives directly past our Hostel Wunderbar. Just ask the driver to stop directly outside the hostel.

Question: Where is the nearest ATM machine?
Answer: In Sabanitas, in the Rey supermarket. So, ensure that you have enough money with you at this point.

Question: How to get to Colombia?
Answer: We offer trips on sailing boats from Portobelo / Puerto Lindo to Cartagena in Colombia, and back. See the 'Sailing Trips' page for more information.
